FromBroken2Chosen Nonprofit Women’s Ministry

Our Story

From Broken2Chosen was founded by Kenyatta Moore in 2017 and 501c3 established in 2019. As a former victim of abuse, having served time in prison, potential gang member, a dancer in the adult entertainment business, a single mother who has experienced both domestic violence and divorce, and over 20 years of success in customer service, Kenyatta has encountered many women who have come from all various backgrounds.

After accepting Christ in her life in June 2013, Kenyatta had numerous growth opportunities of real-life experience, discipleship, and connecting with many women inside and outside of the church. This included serving in various capacities of church leadership (volunteer-based), outreach ministries such as helping people experiencing homelessness, single mothers, addiction facilities, seniors, and children for almost 8 years (volunteer leadership based). In these opportunities, Kenyatta found there was a common need for resources that women did not have access to, no matter what their status in life was. God continued to impress upon her heart that there was a need to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a way that was different than what was already established in Charlotte.

Finally, in 2017 Kenyatta decided to answer the call, and start working towards forming From Broken2Chosen. In 2018-2019, the Board of Directors was appointed.
